Exploring Our Wonderful World!

I discovered my love of travel planning while organizing my family reunions. I have been hooked on travel ever since.  I enjoy researching new destinations to learn about their customs, festivals and attractions and planning my visits around them. It’s the best way to experience the people and their culture.

In the early 90’s a client at the agency I worked in introduced me to The Traveler’s Century Club.  It’s for people who have been to 100 countries.  The Travelers' Century Club's official list of countries is 320. Some aren’t actually countries, such as Alaska and Hawaii, but they have been included because they are removed from their parent, either geographically, politically or ethnologically How long do you have to stay in a country to qualify? Even the shortest visit will
suffice — even if it’s  only a port-of-call, or a plane fuel stop. I have been to 20 countries  so far and hope to reach 100 in the next 10 years.  Cruising is one of the best ways to see multiple countries while staying in your floating “resort.”   In 2009 I was on Carnival Dream’s Inaugural Grand Mediterranean  12 nt cruise. The ports included five countries  in one cruise, Barcelona, Venice, Sicily, Croatia and  Monaco.  So at that rate I’ll need to see 8 countries a year to meet Century Club goal in 10 years.

Where do YOU want to go?

I wish I had the time and money to visit 100 countries. I would love to quit my job, buy an RV, and travel the world. I would buy the best camera to document my adventures. I think my first step to this dream is to visit Hawaii. I have never been and I'm told it is beautiful.

I would love to travel to Rome and Paris. My dream is to travel the world once my daughter grows up. There are so many beautiful places that I'd like to see. It would be amazing to travel to 100 countries in my lifetime.

Cruising is the easiest way to add multiple countries to your list in one vacation. My next cruise is the Carnival Breeze Inaugural. 12 days-11 ports-6 countries-1 Vacation!  Venice to Barcelona and stops at all the best ports in between.
